British curator and numismatic specialist with the Royal Mint. Designed the 2011 Olympic Equestrian 50p as part of the London 2012 Games commemorative series, and has contributed to multiple historical-anniversary £5 crown designs. Hockenhull is also widely cited as a Royal Mint commentator on numismatic history and the design process behind modern UK coinage.
