Fastest-Rising UK Coins, Last 30 Days
The 25 British coins with the biggest 30-day percentage gains in realised auction price. Auto-generated from our price database, never editorial picks, never asking prices. As of 17 September 2026.
Methodology
For each coin we take the highest-performing grade across all sales in the last 30 days, comparing
against the same coin's price 30 days earlier. Coins must have a current price ≥ £5 to qualify (filters
out noise on bullion 1p/2p variation). Data refreshes daily via our price aggregator pulling from
Spink,
Baldwin's,
Noonans and
sold listings from eBay UK.

What drives a UK coin's price up?
Price rises in the realised-auction data usually have one of three causes:
- A landmark sale. A single high-profile auction realisation can pull the rolling 30-day average up sharply for that grade. Once that sale ages out of the window, the figure usually normalises.
- Mintage discoveries or revisions. When new mintage information surfaces (e.g. a historical low-mintage variant becoming widely-known), demand jumps and prices follow.
- Cultural moments. A film, news event or anniversary referencing a particular coin typically lifts realised prices for 4-12 weeks. Royal events and TV documentaries are common drivers.
This list is auto-generated; we don't editorialise the rankings. The most-loved coin won't always be on top, sometimes a quirky variant shoots up because of a single big sale.
