What We Do

MyCoinage helps you understand what your coins are actually worth. We track real auction prices from eBay sold listings, Spink, Baldwin's, Noonans, and other leading UK auction houses to build grade-by-grade price history for every coin in our catalogue.

  • Realised auction prices: every data point comes from a genuine sale, never an asking price or dealer estimate.
  • Grade-by-grade price history: see how values change over time across every condition, from Good to BU.
  • Portfolio valuation: add your coins and get an instant market valuation based on current sales data.
  • Series completion tracking: see which coins you own, which you're missing, and track your progress.

Built by Collectors

MyCoinage is independently built in the UK by coin collectors who wanted better data. No venture capital, no corporate agenda, just a focus on giving collectors the real information they need to make informed decisions about their hobby.

How we calculate prices

Every price on MyCoinage is a realised sale: a transaction where a coin actually changed hands. We do not use asking prices, dealer "catalogue values", or estimates.

Our scrapers collect data from four sources on rolling schedules:

  • eBay UK: verified sold listings only, filtered for buyer-protection-eligible transactions, refreshed hourly.
  • Spink, Baldwin's, Noonans: hammer prices from published UK auction catalogues, refreshed weekly.
  • PCGS and NGC population reports: grade distribution data used for rarity scoring.
  • Bank of England & LBMA: FX rates and precious-metal spot prices, refreshed hourly.

Each price is put through an automated verifier that flags outliers, denomination mismatches and non-sale data. Flagged records are held for manual review before they're published.

Our Data

Every price on MyCoinage comes from a realised auction sale: an actual transaction where a coin changed hands. We never use asking prices, dealer estimates, or catalogue values. This means the prices you see reflect what collectors are genuinely paying in the current market.

We aggregate data daily from eBay UK sold listings and weekly from major UK auction houses including Spink, Baldwin's, and Noonans. Nightly processing updates grade-level summaries so you always have the latest picture.
