How it works

1
Tell us what you have
Photos of individual coins, or just describe the bulk lot. No sorting needed.
2
Get a provisional offer
Itemised coins get a per-coin figure instantly. Bulk lots get a typical range.
3
We confirm & send the address
We review your photos, confirm the offer with you, then email the posting address and packing instructions. Nothing needs posting before that.
4
Post, inspection & payment
You post it tracked and insured. We inspect, confirm the final offer, and pay by bank transfer within 24 hours.

Don't sort it, we'll do that.

Jars, tins, shoeboxes, inherited albums: photograph the lot spread out, tell us roughly what's in it, and post it. We itemise everything on arrival and send you a full breakdown with our offer. No itemisation required from you, ever.

Straight answers on pricing

Our offers are typically 60–70% of estimated auction value. Here's why: selling fees, market risk, and instant payment versus 6–10 weeks at auction. We publish the same valuation data we buy against, check any coin's realised-price history yourself before you accept. See how our valuations work.

Prefer to try auction? We'll tell you if your coin is better suited to consignment, a genuine rarity nets you more at Spink or Noonans even after fees, and we'd rather say so than buy it cheap.

Before you start: postage

  • You pay postage to send coins to us. We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery (covers up to £750 as standard, £2,500 maximum, note coins are classed as valuables with a £2,500 contents cap).
  • Items over £2,500 in value: contact us first for courier arrangements.
  • The posting address comes by email once we've reviewed your photos and confirmed your offer, so nothing needs posting up front.
  • No storage fees, ever. If you decline a revised offer, you only cover return postage where items differed from your description.
  • Full details in our selling terms.
