William IV Coins
William IV's short reign produced a small but well-respected coinage. Best known for the 1831 Coronation issue and for the introduction of the silver groat (4d) in 1836. William IV sovereigns are scarce relative to George IV and Victoria, and the proof gold series of 1831 contains some of the most beautiful British gold coinage ever struck.
