Head of Mercury left, wearing a winged petasus, a caduceus behind the shoulder.

Reverse

Britannia seated left, holding olive branch and trident, a union shield at her side, BCC on the ground below; all -within an oak-wreath with 17 leaves on the left, 18 on the right: 18 acorns, 9 on each side; the the centre and right prong of the trident touches a leaf. An acorn on a long stalk touches the baseline beneath Britannia's foot.
