The headline this time: you can now sell coins directly to us, and everything on MyCoinage is free for every account. A busy couple of months underneath too, so here is the full rundown.
Sell your coins to us
The big one. There is a new Sell Your Coins option in the top menu. Photograph your coins (or the whole tin, no sorting needed), get an estimate up front, and we confirm a firm offer from your photos. Nothing gets posted until you have accepted the offer, and once your coins arrive we photograph the unboxing before inspection, so a revised offer always comes with evidence. Payment is by PayPal within 24 hours of your acceptance. No storage fees, ever.
Logged-in sellers get a My Offers page to accept or decline offers, plus live status on the dashboard from submission through to payment.
Identify worn coins by measuring them
The coin identifier gained a second mode: Measure it. If the date has worn smooth, enter the diameter, the weight if you have scales, and the shape, and we rank the whole catalogue by physical closeness. A household ruler and kitchen scales are accurate enough. Every result now shows a typical realised-value range too, which is usually the thing you actually wanted to know.
A proper spot price calculator
The spot prices page now has a calculator: enter any weight in grams, troy ounces, standard ounces or kilograms, pick the metal and purity (sovereign 22 carat, sterling, 1920-46 silver and more), and see the metal value at today's price with the working-out shown. We also rebuilt the pipeline behind the page after a data-source outage, backfilled the missing weeks with real market history, and removed a handful of bad data points that were distorting the chart.
Everything is free now, properly
We said MyCoinage is 100% free, and we have finished making that true everywhere. CSV, XLSX and insurance-ready PDF exports are now available to every signed-in account. Collection size is unlimited. The last Upgrade buttons and slot counters are gone. One account, everything included, no card.
Your collection page does more
The value-over-time chart, best and worst performers, breakdown by metal and your top coins by value all now live on the collection page, next to the coins themselves. The dashboard stays focused on what needs your attention: offers waiting on you, watchlist movement, and your streak.
